Plan on Opening Monday, May 4th

Good afternoon CMA family!

First let me say THANK YOU all for being patient and understanding during this time of quarantine.

Secondly, I think it's a must that we try and stay on schedule as much as possible during this time away from CMA.(Especially for our younger students!)

My suggestion is that you set aside the time that you, or your child, would normally be at CMA and practice during that time. I also recommend that you, or your child, dress out for this practice!(whatever that attire would be: CMA tshirt?gi top, karate pants, belt)

For example:

If your child normally practices on Mondays 4:30-5:00pm, have your child practice during that time!

Now I fully understand that it may be difficult for your child to practice the FULL 30 minutes, 45 minutes or full hour of his/her class, but having them start on time of their particular class is key to helping your child adjust back to a regular schedule!

Please email me and request a home workout video and/or join our CMA Students/Parents Page!

We'd like to thank all the members, and parents of members, that belong to Contemporary Martial Arts for their continued support.

Without your support, we would not be able to keep our doors open after the smoke clears and we have to go ahead to re-open.

I promise that we have prepared, and continue to prepare, a plan of action to make up any lost time via FREE workshops specifically designed for each individual program here at CMA, along with FREE extra classes for as long as it takes.

Starting as early as next week, I’ll be doing private sessions via videos(film you/your child training, send it to me for review and I’ll send you a video back with pointers/advice!) and FaceTime.

This will be a great tool for junior students to stay ready for belt promotions! *Any FaceTime videos will require a parent of anyone under 18 to be visually present Adult karate students can polish up on katas as well as learn NEW ONES!

If you are in a better financial position than others, please be smart about continuing to support downtown local businesses.

Until we re-open, please continue to monitor our Facebook Group page for Parents/Students, https://www.facebook.com/groups/227014028487477/ , as well as our YouTube channel for training videos! CMA's YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChVAJlIZyfWN_UWhIim7e9w

About CMA

Chuck and Carolina opened Contemporary Martial Arts, Inc. in 1996. Along with Carolina’s 2 children, Dave Martin and Tanya Martin(now Mrs. Tanya Hudson!), Chuck and Carolina laid down the foundation for what is now considered one of the best, most complete martial arts’ curriculum for kids/adults in the Southeast. Competing in sport karate, grappling and full contact kickboxing tournaments, CMA was raising eyebrows from their very first tournament! While competing in the SC Sport Karate Circuit, CMA students won over...
